The government has a range of support schemes available to help businesses and their employees get through Covid-19 lockdowns. We can help you understand what support you may be eligible for, and we can either help with applications or apply on your behalf.
Wage Subsidy
This is a support scheme designed to help businesses keep their staff employed. The scheme becomes available nationwide when any location in NZ moves to Alert Level 3 or 4 for a period of 7 days or more.
To be eligible you must have experienced a 40% or more drop in revenue over a 7 day period as a direct result of lockdown.
If eligible, you can receive $600 per week per full time employee and $359 per week per part time employee.
(Applications for the Wage Subsidy will be open from 9am on Friday 20 August 2021 for a period of two weeks.)
Resurgence Support
The Resurgence Support Payment is there to help businesses afford the general overhead costs (paying the bills!!) during lockdown and stay afloat.
To be eligible you must have experienced a 30% or more drop in revenue over a 7 day period as a direct result of the lockdown.
If eligible, you could receive $1,500 as a base rate per business and $400 per full time employee, up to a maximum of $21,500 per business. This amount is dependent on the amount of lost revenue over that period.
